We still have our special edition socks made in Coolmax as well as our plain coloured socks for well over a decade now. These are still great performing and durable socks and we have literally sold tens of thousands. However, more recently we experimented with socks utilising Dyarn and Carbon Resistex. We were very happy with the results and so were our customers. Encouraged by this experiment and utilising the technical know how of our long term Italian sock manufacturer, we are pleased to present our new summer sock which is available in 4 colourways.
They are a composition of 4 extremely specialised yarns: Dryarn microfibre, Lycra Sport, Cupron and Carbon Resistex. These are blended skillfully to create what we believe to be one of the most technically advanced socks in the sports sector.
The toe area is reinforced and cut anatomically so the socks are specifically left and right, think about it, your foot is not square ended. The reinforcement at the heel area is slightly raised to cut down and abrasion and friction. The mid-foot section has a partial open weave construction to improve ventilation but is counteracted by a mid section light compression band which prevents twisting/bunching and keeps the foot section in place. The cuff also utilises a similar idea exercising a light compression which not only keeps the cuff in position with no sagging or wrinkling but benefits athletic performance. It has super stretch enabling you to achieve your preferred cuff height.
There are many claims out there to justify the ludicrous prices being asked for what are fairly bog standard cycling socks but we can honestly say that these socks were developed in conjunction with one of the leading World Tour teams and our connections with some of the finest accessory manufacturers means we can offer them up at "real world" prices.
Other plus factors are that they are extremely light, odour resistant and are very efficient at wicking sweat. They are antibacterial, antistatic, UV Resistant as well as hard wearing. They should provide good looks and functionality even after many washes (30c).
