In 1970 Cino Cinelli created his first collection of cycling clothing, developed specifically for the US market, distributed by Campagnolo, which had already developed a strong retail network for soft goods.
The result was a small selection of products, no more than a pair of cycling shorts, wool jersey, musette and cycling cap. These products had strong success in the US and remained in production, almost unchanged, for roughly 10 years.
