This J. Aernoudt Meubel Rossin team jersey by Santini was ridden to victory at the 1983 Paris Roubaix by Hennie Kuiper.
Kuiper won a huge variety of different races during his career, winning grand tour stages, was an Olympic and world champion and later re-invented himself in the second half of his career winning the 1983 edition of the Paris-Roubaix at his eleventh attempt.
Just think about that for a minute - here's a guy that won at l’Alpe d’Huez and Paris Roubaix, I know cycling has changed, but even so, that's a hell of an achievement in my book.
It was during Paris Roubaix 1983 that John Pierce took one of my favourite photos of Hennie Kuiper - with mud splattered all over his wool jersey aboard his red Rossin bicycle.
During the Rouleur Classic last year, we had the incredible opportunity to meet both Hennie and his son Bjorn during their promotion of Hennie's delightful coffee table book Hennie Kuiper: Kampioen Wilskracht.
In April 2018, an accurate replica of the J. Aernoudt Meubel team jersey will be available to buy as part of the Prendas retro peloton!
