The Milk Race was used as a promotional tool for the Milk Marketing Board, starting in 1958 until 1993, lasting for 35 years until the national tour morphed into the PruTour.
The striking, multi-coloured stripes are an influence from the yellow jersey and the white sleeve allows us to use the gotta lotta bottle slogan that was used from race day programmes all the way through to the commemorate souvenir tea towels!
