White Men Can't Jump Cycling Cap

Our top-selling cap from last year came late in the year with the surprise return of a classic retro cap from the cult-classic film 'White Men Can't Jump', with Wesley Snipes & Woody Harrelson playing two streetwise basketball hustlers who form an unlikely friendship. As a limited run featuring the original Colnago logos, the caps were so popular that they sold out in just a few days - so instead to fill its place we've got the 'Prendas Can't Jump' version, replacing the logos with our own and a tagline of "tradizione, passione ed emozione" (tradition, passion and emotion which just about sums up the Prendas mission statement).

Prendas Lisboa Waterproof Cap

Moving up the list is our waterproof Lisboa Cap - which shows just how bad the weather has been this year! Many think that cycling caps are only for the Summer, but we beg to differ - and our Lisboa cap is evidence of that. Using a lightweight dual-membrane fabric, this windproof and waterproof cap is ideal for difficult conditions. thanks to the properties of the Lisboa fabric that repels water keeping you dry. With a reflective logo pattern across the side panelling, this cap is also great in poor conditions, and comes in plenty of other colours!

Bianchi Neon Large Polka Dots Cycling Cap

Three newcomers take the podium this year, and in bronze it's the Bianchi Neon Large Polka Dots Cap! A household name in cycling, it's no surprise that Bianchi's cycling caps maintain the same great quality that we see across all the kit we stock from them here at Prendas. Made from Tela K2 fabric it's a popular choice for those that want a classic style with some cutting edge performance and comfort - those polka dots sure help it to stand out with that eye catching logo!

Cinelli Jungle Zen Cap

Cinelli's Art Program series have remained a firm favourite for our customers over the years, and 2024 was no different, with the Jungle Zen Cap making the top five. This particular design, which also made our list in 2020 comes from Italian illustrator Lida Ziruffo.

Bianchi Neon Blue Cycling Cap

The second of Bianchi's range to feature on our list this year is the Neon Blue Cap. Featuring a classic style, this cap combines a retro look thanks to the combination of the black and white checkerboard central band set against the Azzurri blue of the cap itself.

San Pellegrino Retro Cycling Cap

Best cycling caps: 2) San Pellegrino Retro Cycling Cap

Our San Pellegrino cap drops two places from 2023, but remains a favourite at Prendas. The perfect match to our short and long sleeve jerseys, as well as the entire San Pellegrino collection in that dazzling orange. Thanks to a recent adjustment of the exact hue used in production, this cap is more accurate to the original retro than ever before.

Brooklyn Blue Retro Cycling Cap

A regular favourite Stateside returns to our top 10 this year in the classic blue, made famous by the legendary Roger De Vlaeminck. Though it features the iconic bridge, it's not widely known that the chewing gum brand was entirely made in Italy! You can read more about the Brooklyn team in our blog post deep dive written by cycling historian Pedr Charlesworth.

Prendas Black Cycling Cap

Down five places to eighth this year, it seems that our customers have gone for a little more colour which we're always happy to see! But when it comes to sleek, you can't go wrong with the all black cap. It's a favourite with cycling clubs looking for a base to add  their own branding which prints so well on these cotton caps, with just a small Prendas logo on the side, these are made in Italy with the same quality fabrics as the rest of our range.

Peugeot BP Retro White Cycling Cap

Last year it was the Peugeot only version, and though it may have dropped down the leaderboard, the iconic checkerboard design never goes out of style. The black and white was first adopted by the Peugeot Cycling Team in 1963 with riders like Tom Simpson and Eddy Merckx both wearing a Peugeot team cap like this during their career, featuring on the podiums of cycling's most prestigious races time and time again.

Z Vetements Retro Cycling Cap

Back in the best-sellers this year in tenth place it's the Z Vetements cap - an accurate representation of the design worn by the team from 1987-92. A huge departure from the classic black and white chequers, Greg Lemond, Robert Millar and Gilbert Duclos-Lassalle all rode in the famous comic-book-inspired team colours of Z - making this one of the more memorable caps of yesteryear!

And there you have it - our best-selling caps for 2024. Are there any favourites of yours that didn't make the list? What about caps you'd like to see us design for the coming year? Drop us a message via our contact email or on any of our socials, we'd love to hear from you!
