Well, since my last blog the training has started and is in full flow so much now that I'm hardly getting any time to do anything but ride my bike. But i guess thats why they call it full time bike riding!

So my training has mostly been about long steady miles which I've tried to mix up with riding on my own and in the local elite club run and split days with alot of gym work which I can say after never really dipped my toes into gym work is really paying off this year and I'm enjoying it alot so hopefully my six pack will come by Christmas but we can all dream cant we?

So I'm all signed up for next year with Magnus Backstedt's team which I'm really excited about. Ive really started to get a close bond with Magnus and Martin McCrossan which is very important to me as I need to feel very much part of the team.

So the team is shaping up very nicely with a few new signings one being a good mate of mine Joe Perrett who is European junior TT champion so he will bring some horsepower to the team and also we've just signed a young aussie who I raced against when I was on the British squad racing in Italy so he's sure got some talent.

And most importantly the race calender is looking very promising even though it will start in late January alot of these races Team SKY will be riding so I will be in good company. The races are GP Marseilles which will be backed up by Etoile Bessges, Tour of Vacluse, Tour of Mediterranean and this is all by the end of Febuary so busy busy busy but very exciting.

So until then I've got to get through Christmas in one piece which is a hard task with alot of family commitments a few parties and the dreaded Christmas food so its all about being focused but also enjoying the moments as it only comes round once a year. It will soon be back to the grind where I leave for Majorca on Januray the 1st for a month of intense training ready for the start of the season.

OMG the season is only 7 weeks away better get going.

Ciao a Presto

And Happy Xmas and New Year
